Description:
Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for a webinar discussion on the importance of travel vaccines. NFID Medical Director William Schaffner, MD will moderate the webinar with presentations by Wilbur H. Chen, MD, MS, Director, University of Maryland, Baltimore Travel Medicine Practice and NFID Director, Jeffery A. Goad, PharmD, MPH, Professor and Chair, Pharmacy Practice, Chapman University School of Pharmacy. The presentations will focus on updates to travel vaccine recommendations and strategies for implementation. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: -Discuss the geographic epidemiology and clinical manifestations of certain pathogens encountered during travel -Summarize current ACIP recommendations for common travel vaccines -Identify strategies for implementation of recommendations into clinical practice
