This seminar has been designed to provide a practical and comprehensive review of a number of practical topics in surgical pathology including gastrointestinal, pulmonary, gynecologic, hepatobiliary, genitourinary, and soft tissue pathology. This course will include an overview of diagnostic pearls which allow for accurate diagnosis as well as clues as to how to avoid the most common diagnostic pitfalls. A portion of the discussion will be related to appropriate diagnostic immunohistochemical and molecular genetics tests which allow the pathologist to refine their diagnosis. There will also be significant opportunity for interactive discussion between faculty members and participants.
American Board of Pathology (ABP) Maintenance of Certification: This activity provides up to 17.5 SAM eligible CME for the American Board of Pathology MOC Program. Participants must take and pass a post-test in order to earn SAM credit.
