Course Objectives:
1) Describe how different imaging modalities are used to demonstrate pediatric trauma
1) Relate how to communicate with pediatric patients and their parents based upon age and circumstance.
3) Discuss how child abuse can be demonstrated through imaging
4) Name different methods and techniques associated with the technical challenges of imaging pediatric patients.
5) Discuss immobilization and sedation techniques for pediatrics
6) Discuss methods to analyze medical images related to pediatric traumatic fracture
7) Demonstrate methods of pediatric radiation dose management in digital radiography and fluoroscopic imaging.
8) Identify imaging practices specific to the pediatric population.
9) Understand how optimization of each step in the imaging process can reduce patient exposure
