Description:
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is pleased to announce the Interventional Cancer Pain Symposium 2018: Technical Workshop in Advanced Therapies (ICPS 2018). This symposium will include an advanced therapies workshop for pain practitioners to learn state of the art techniques in interventional pain medicine. We will emphasize paradigm strategies for cancer pain syndromes and provide a fluoroscopic and ultrasound based workshop for attendees. Additionally, this year we will have an enlarged rehabilitation and radiology section along with our neurosurgery, interventional pain, and interventional radiology course.

This year's ICPS 2018 workshop will be a comprehensive program dedicated to training attendees in the newest techniques for treating pain in the oncologic program. Our workshop training program will expand this year to include the ever changing landscape in neuromodulation. Advanced techniques in intrathecal drug delivery will be discussed. A new emphasis will also be placed on the expanding role of both spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation.

All attendees will be exposed to intervention and neurolysis of the sympathetic system. Esteemed experts in ultrasound guidance will train attendees in the expanding role of muscle plane blocks in oncologic pain management. The expanded cadaver and live model course will encompass neuroaxial procedures, rehabilitative interventions and Botulinum toxin procedures. MSK's ICPS is the premiere program in the field of oncologic pain medicine.

This course is intended for Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Residents and Fellows interested in learning state-of-the-art interventional pain procedures for treating oncologic patients.
