Description:
CT-guided percutaneous lung biopsy is a pivotal test in lung cancer diagnosis. This webinar will outline the ambulatory lung biopsy pathway. In addition, the webinar will focus approaches to lung biopsy, including complex lung biopsy in patients with poor lung function & repeat biopsy in patients with disease progression. Educational Aims: • Understand the benefits & advantages of an ambulatory, early discharge lung biopsy pathway versus conventional UK practice • Understand the pivotal role percutaneous lung biopsy plays in the current management of lung cancer, in particular the importance of genomic tissue analysis & repeat biopsy in cancer progression.
