Completion of the Webinar Series is mandatory before registering for this course. This includes the completion of the pre-webinar assignment, attendance and participation in the webinar, and the completion of the post-webinar assignment: Assessing Complex Chronic Pain Prescribing Opioids in Chronic Care Addressing Opioid Challenges and Addiction
Learning Objectives
Manage problematic situations with chronic pain patients Patients on high doses of opioids who are dysfunctional, but not addicted. Patients at high risk of addiction Patients using opioids illicitly Effectively communicate with chronic pain patients their Necessity of tapering opioid dose Diagnosis of addiction Addiction treatment options Develop approaches and practice tools to work with other health care professionals to manage complex patients

Approximately two weeks prior to the course date, and with your paid registration, you will be provided your pre-course assignment and location information for the workshop. Following the workshop you will be required to complete a post course practice application assignment that will be submitted electronically.
