Description:
This course was designed for diagnostic radiologists who want to keep up with changes in clinical practice. A broad range of lecture topics in breast, neuroradiology, thoracic, abdominal, head and neck, and gynecological imaging will be given by our expert, subspecialized faculty.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Explain the roles and potential benefits of digital breast tomosynthesis and synthetic 2D imaging in the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer and benign breast diseases
• Discuss the data on the use of breast MRI and ultrasound in the supplemental screening of high and intermediate risk women as well as women with dense breasts
• Identify and describe the imaging appearance of pathologic conditions affecting the sinuses, orbits, spine and parasellar/sellar regions
• Optimize abdominal CT colonography protocols to diagnose bowel pathology
• Enumerate what the radiologist needs to do when evaluating the right upper quadrant and the female pelvis by sonography
• Discuss the role of imaging in the evaluation of pulmonary embolism
• Identify and describe the imaging appearance of adult congenital heart disease
• Utilize the LIRADS reporting system of hepatocellular carcinoma
• Solve imaging problems related to the use of MR imaging head and neck
• Effectively utilize US in the evaluation of the thyroid nodules and diffuse thyroid disease
• Discuss how to manage incidental findings on abdominal imaging exams
