This seminar will enable participants to advance and refine their understanding of unique issues relating to the evaluation and management of patients with cancer with acquired and chronic kidney disease. Didactic lectures will focus on electrolyte derangements in cancer patients, targeted therapies and their nephrotoxic effects, recognition and management of monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance, acute and chronic kidney disease in the bone marrow transplant patient, anemia management in cancer patients, and care of the renal transplant patient with cancer. Participants will learn about common urinary diversion procedures in these patients and their related complications.
